What it tastes like

Smoky, zesty and savoury — chilli and chipotle with cumin, smoked paprika and oregano, brightened by a touch of lemon peel. A gentle, smoky warmth rather than fierce heat, so the whole table can dig in.

Cook this tonight

• Season beef, chicken or pork mince and pile into hard or soft tacos with fresh salsa, sour cream and cheese.
• Sizzle with peppers and onions for fajitas, served with warm tortillas and all the toppings.
• Stir through black beans, lentils or roasted veg for a meat-free taco or burrito filling.

How to use it

A little goes a long way — one to two teaspoons is plenty for a family meal for four or five, and you can build the heat to taste. Brown your filling, stir in the blend with a splash of water and let it cook down. Tacos love balance, so don't skip the fresh salsa and a dollop of sour cream — that's what turns good into amazing.
