What it tastes like
Salty and spicy with real depth — medium chilli heat and tongue-tingling Szechuan pepper, rounded out by garlic, ginger, star anise and warm spice. Punchy and moreish.
Cook this tonight
- Toss through crispy chicken, beef or prawns with peppers and onions for a salt & chilli stir-fry — serve with rice.
- Sprinkle over chips or roast potatoes straight from the oven for salt & chilli chips.
- Season tofu or halloumi before frying for a veggie version with all the kick.
How to use it
A little goes a very long way — just one teaspoon is plenty for a family meal for four or five. For the classic takeaway effect, toss it through your meat or veg in the last minute of a hot stir-fry, or scatter over chips as soon as they're cooked. Start light and add more to taste — it packs a punch.
