Ours goes back to the original: gentle, fragrant and grown-up, the way a korma should taste. Make a creamy curry the whole family will love in 30 to 40 minutes, for a fraction of the takeaway price.
What it tastes like
Mild, creamy and aromatic — warming cumin, coriander and cardamom with cinnamon, clove and ginger. Fragrant and gently spiced rather than sweet or hot, so it's a winner with kids and spice-shy eaters.
Cook this tonight
- Make a creamy chicken korma with coconut milk or cream — serve with naan and vegetable pilau rice.
- Stir into chickpeas, paneer or roasted veg for a comforting meat-free curry.
- Use it dry as a rub on chicken or lamb, then finish off the grill with paratha and minty yoghurt.
How to use it
A little goes a long way — one to two teaspoons is plenty for a family meal for four or five. Fry the blend gently in a little oil or butter first to wake up the spices, then build your sauce with onion, garlic and cream or coconut. It's just as happy as a BBQ rub as it is in a curry pot, so experiment.
