Ingredients
- 500g beef steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp SpiceMasters Chinese salt and pepper spice blend
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp groundnut or avocado oil (or any high smoke point oil)
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 tsp honey (adjust to personal taste)
- 1/2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped (Optional)
Directions
Prep the Beef: In a bowl, combine the thinly sliced beef with 1 tsp of Chinese salt and pepper spice blend. Toss well to coat evenly. Set aside while you prepare the vegetables.
Stir-Fry Vegetables: Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced onions, red pepper, green pepper, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
Cook the Beef: Tip the vegetables onto a plate and then in skillet or wok add the remaining 1 tbsp of oil. Add the beef slices in a single layer and then stir-fry for about 2-4 minutes until the beef is browned and cooked through.
Combine and Finish: Mix the vegetables back in with the beef. Add the soy, rice vinegar, and honey (if using). Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until everything is well-coated and heated through.
Serve: Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with fresh chopped coriander.
Serve with either noodles or rice.
